Napa Valley Adventure Tours features hourly and daily rentals for both single and tandem kayaks. All rentals are based on a 2 hour minimum.

Our location allows you to take advantage of a variety of waterways for your adventure.

• The Napa River is just steps away from our shop. This tidal river is best paddled during high tide,  please call our shop to find out the optimum time for your water adventure. Take a leisurely trip through the marshes of the Napa River or Carneros area. Load up and launch from either the Oxbow Public Market, Kennedy Park or Cuttings Wharf. 

Routes on the Napa River include:

  • Central Napa
  • Wetlands/Marshes/Slough

• Enjoy the day at Lake Hennessy or Lake Berryessa. We have the equipment and our team will assist you with loading your car for the beautiful drive up the Napa Valley.

• You have the option to have Napa Valley Adventure Tours launch your kayak from Kennedy Park or Cuttings Wharf. However, if you choose this option it is an automatic full day rental.

NVAT can teach you. We have 1.5 hour lessons for  taught by an experienced guide for either beginner or intermediate level. Each lesson is tailored to your needs, so you can advance at your own pace. We also offer group lessons, so make it a family adventure.

Lessons include:

Kayak, paddles, life vest and instructor.

Instruction includes:

How to paddle better, getting in and out, stopping and turning techniques, maintenance of the kayak, picking out the right kayak for you.
